Top 5 Summer Spa Cocktails

There is an art to creating a winning spa environment; a quality spa might provide guests with an array of therapeutic and relaxing treatments, but for some of us, additional amenities are required to round out the experience. Many of us spa-goers really appreciate a fully stocked bar with a knowledgeable mixologist to create pre and post-spa cocktails. Being the avid spa-goers (and cocktail enthusiasts) that the editorial team members at Talk Spas are, we’ve selected our Top 5 Summer Spa Cocktails, and featured them below with recipes in case you come across a mixologist who isn’t quite so drink-savvy, or you want to make them yourself:

5) Spajito – A lot of nutrition and little vodka in one glass.

1.5 oz. Cucumber-infused Vodka
4 Sprigs of mint
1 tbsp. Organic raw Agave
4 tbsp. Sliced, peeled cucumber
1 Lime, half juiced, half sliced
Sparkling water
Ice

Muddle mint leaves, Agave and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a mojito glass filled with ice. Fill with soda water and garnish with mint.

#4 Whacky Watermelon

4) Wacky Watermelon – Oh so refreshing.

1.5 oz. Vodka
1 1/2 oz. Watermelon juice
1 oz. Lemon juice
1/4 tbsp. Raw agave nectar
4 Sprigs of mint
Ice

Muddle mint leaves and Agave in a cocktail shaker. Add watermelon juice, lemon juice and ice, then shake. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with mint.

3) Dark & Stormy – The national drink of Bermuda.

2 oz. Dark rum
10 oz. Ginger beer
Juice from 1/2 lime
Lime wedge
Ice

Fill a Collins glass with ice, lime juice, rum and ginger beer. Stir gently and garnish with lime wedge.

2) Ward 8 – Kickin’ it old school.

1 1/2 oz. Whiskey
2 oz. Lemon juice
1/2 oz. Grenadine
Orange slice
Ice

Violently shake whiskey, lemon juice, grenadine and ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass and garnish with orange slice.

#1) Sidecar

1) Sidecar – A favorite of Talk Spas’ very own “Sultan of Social Media”, as we like to call him.

2 oz. Cognac
1 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. Lemon Juice
Ice
Sugar

Shake cognac, triple sec, lemon juice and ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with sugar.
