The Importance of Investing In Your Bathroom

Tuesday, May 14th, 2013

When it comes to making an investment in your home, installing a steam shower isn’t just good for your health—it can also increase your home’s value. According to the 2013 Houzz & Home survey, home renovations are on the rise. Next to kitchens, bathrooms are the second most popular room to remodel. As this surge in popularity continues, high end amenities for the bathroom are becoming an increasingly sought after request. For homeowners looking to sell, these aren’t just luxury items— they’re necessities for increasing your home’s value. Let’s take a look at some bathroom trends worth considering for your next remodel.

While once a primarily utilitarian space, bathrooms have gained status as “home spas”— bigger, more open spaces meant for private relaxation. Because space is more valuable, homeowners are replacing their bathtubs with more luxurious spa-style showers. As showers become more upscale and streamlined, it only makes sense to add extra features to help set them over the edge.

While a steam shower is one great way to set your shower apart, don’t overlook the technological features as well. As our lives become more intertwined with technology, homeowners are seeking out more futuristic advancements— Yes, even for the bathroom. Bathrooms that offer touch-free fixtures and the ability to connect to personal devices are increasingly in demand. ThermaSol’s Serenity and Light system allows homeowners to bring their iPhone or iPad in the shower with them to control its features.

Not ready to make a big change? According to Consumer Reports, five simple items can help make a big difference when it comes to bathroom remodeling: heated flooring, stain-resistant grout, skylights, framed mirrors and heated shower mirrors. The smaller amenities are just as important as the larger ones, which further help set your bathroom apart.

Remodels are necessary to keep up to date and offer amenities that no one else has. As the upswing in home renovations continues, the need for homeowners to stand out in the market is more important than ever. So when it comes time for your next bathroom remodel, know the investment is well-worth the effort.

In true ThermaSol style, they are the first to bring Bluetooth technology to steam shower products and have effectively created the next generation of steam shower technology. With ThermaSol’s new Bluetooth offering, now instead of using a docking station or a hard wire receiver, you can simply enter your bathroom with any Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as smart phones or laptops, and start streaming music at the touch of a button. All ThermaSol Serenity Light & Music Systems will now be Bluetooth-equipped, enabling you to create the ultimate steam shower experience in the home through the harmony of light, music and steam. The Bluetooth technology allows you to wirelessly control the audio in your steam shower from anywhere in the bathroom.

Additionally, with the use of a waterproof case, your devices can be brought directly into the steam shower, allowing you to conveniently customize your experience with whatever audio selections you like. ThermaSol’s Serenity Light & Music System also provides you with the therapeutic benefits of Chromatherapy and music therapy; both are ancient healing practices that are still used in upscale spas today and you can actually have them in your own home steam shower. The system includes an all-in-one, high intensity full spectrum LED light system for the ultimate light therapy session, as well as a high-performance speaker set. The system features a built-in FM receiver and an additional input source for Bluetooth-enabled MP3 players, TVs, cable tuners, stereo receivers or even DVD players.

ThermaSol never ceases to amaze with their technology enhanced and design savvy product offerings. There’s no doubt Bluetooth technology in the steam shower takes the art of steaming to a whole new level.

Digital vs. Analog Steam Shower Technology

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

This post provided by ThermaSol Steam Showers – www.ThermaSol.com

The differences between digital technology, and analog systems is comparable to going from a dial-up connection to DSL or from a black & white television to HDTV. ThermaSol steam showers are all made with 100% digital technology. They spent 33 months making all of their steam shower systems digital, back in October of 2007.  Every aspect of these steam programs was changed, and now all steam showers are updated with the latest in technology.

Analog Steam Shower Systems:

Old analog technology is what each of the present steam bath manufacturer’s use, and have since they founded their companies. They do have digital controls available; however, but all the commands are done via unidirectional analog command. An electronic pulse is sent through telephone style cables to the generator to command functions. It is an inferior system since the generator can only respond to a single pulse. There is no communication network to verify what the specific pulse is and the opportunities for error are endless so there are often cases where a steam generator will run for weeks, causing the destruction of a home’s drywall and more.

Digital Steam Shower Systems:

The complete 100% digital ThermaSol line was introduced in October of 2007. Today it provides the only networked system that contains 100% digital communication technology. The system protocol is such that everything connected not only receives information, it also transmits the information to ensure there can be no reading error as to what the command is. The network technology allows plug & play expansion so that you can plug in any component to the system and it is immediately recognized and joins the “family” discussion ensuring here-to-fore unparelled reliability. There is never a concern that a voltage spike, frayed cable or other outside influence will send a generator into a function that could be destructive.

Summary of Digital Technology :

  1. Plug & play expandability. (not a hodge podge of unrelated components hoping to work together)
  2. Most importantly, reliability beyond compare. (used by virtually every major industry; also known as CAN bus technology)
  3. Safety beyond compare. (peace of mind, no chance of a “run-a-way generator”)
  4. A solid foundation providing a platform for the latest innovations.
  5. Used in a myriad of applications including factory automation, building automation, aircraft and aerospace as well as in cars, trucks and buses.
